Mattress recycling saves money, creates jobs and is environmentally friendly
More than 50,000 mattresses are thrown away every day in the United States and can take 90 years to decompose in a landfill. About 85 percent of the mattress can be recycled, the coils melted down as scrap metal and the foam used for carpet padding.
